Tinsel Leads: Braided, flexible wires that carry the electrical signal from the terminals to the voice coil.
Gasket
A strip that covers the top edge of the basket and helps to better seal the subwoofer when installed in the box.
Dust Cap
A central cap that prevents dust from entering the voice coil and helps strengthen the screen.
Voice Coil
The voice coil is the beating heart of the speaker and is responsible for converting electrical signals into mechanical motion (vibration), which ultimately produces sound. This component, by interacting with a strong magnetic field, moves the diaphragm and produces sound waves.
